Some email servers such as GMail, Hotmail, Outlook.com, or Microsoft 365 are preset for two-factor authentication. Also, often not all protocols are enabled, and you may need to extend the settings here.
Notes on GMail:
Use POP3/SSL, as IMAP/SSL often causes problems.
You have to create an app password and use it in the PDF-Mapper configuration as the mail user’s password.
